Alvest Equipment Services (AES) is seeking transitioning service members interested in applying their military maintenance experience within the aviation industry. As a Maintenance Technician SkillBridge participant, you will gain hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and inspecting Ground Support Equipment (GSE) used to support airport and Boeing Dreamlifter operations.Participants will work alongside experienced technicians performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, component repair, and equipment overhauls on mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and HVAC systems. This opportunity provides valuable exposure to aviation maintenance practices, safety procedures, computerized maintenance management systems, and airport operations.The program is designed to help service members translate their military skills into a civilian career while developing the technical knowledge and industry experience needed for long-term success in the aviation and ground support equipment maintenance field.
Job description:
Key Responsibilities• Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, HVAC, and electrical discrepancies on Ground Support Equipment (GSE).• Support inspection, repair, overhaul, and rebuilding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, HVAC, and hydraulic components.• Perform preventative maintenance and document maintenance activities using computerized maintenance systems.• Learn to safely operate and maneuver GSE in support of Boeing Dreamlifter Operations.• Support loading, unloading, and aircraft support activities while following Boeing operational and safety requirements.• Follow Tool Control, FOD Prevention, Safety and Parts Accountability procedures.• Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, customer, and company safety standards.• Participate in technical training and professional development opportunities.• Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.• Perform other duties as assigned by station leadership.Successful completion of the SkillBridge program may provide participants with the opportunity to be considered for full-time employment with AES based on business needs, performance, and available openings.

• Must be eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge Program.• Must possess a valid driver's license.• Ability to work in an industrial, airport or outdoor environment.• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and components as required.• Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to workplace safety.• Must successfully complete Boeing security screening and site access requirements where applicable.• Military maintenance, mechanical, electrical, aviation, transportation, logistics or related experience preferred.
