Summary description:
OFFICE OF TRADEThe incumbent in this position plays a critical role, developing new innovative ways to use data to gain insight and strategic advantage, through the development of new tools and techniques, that will assist in providing guidance and consultations based on data driven results. Incumbent does this through a variety of methods, metrics, statistics, research, and data collection. The incumbent collaborates with analysts to develop and augment analytical toolkits for improving operations and identifying ways to strengthen technologies. Makes recommendations on analytical, statistical, and programming techniques to analyze and interpret complex data. The incumbent is responsible for expertly gathering, processing, and converting raw andunstructured data from a variety of systems and databases into clean, organized information.Establishes procedures for data storage and retrieval along with systems for data classification and coding. Follows and advises on proper data governance techniques and policies pertaining to their projects. Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis and data quality assurance using statistical software and computer programs (e.g., R, SQL, Python). Uses various data sources to extract new information and conveys that information in a manner that is appropriate to the technical knowledge of the audience. Solves statistical problems that occur in data collection and summarization processes. Combines, analyzes, and interprets large and complex data sets to develop data-driven organizational solutions. Prepares analytical reports and studies that are made available to a wide variety of constituents, including oversight bodies and external stakeholders. Creates, customizes, and configures Power Platform applications and solutions based on business requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders, including business users, program managers, and other nontechnical teams, to gather requirements and translate systems requirements into applications prototypes. Writes clean, maintainable, and annotated code and automations to streamline future adjustments and additions. Reviews and recommends appropriate analytical tools and software for unique and challenging problems and studies. Consults with the supervisor to identity requirements and expected outcomes for new and existing initiatives.
