Job description:
Participants will train in the responsibilities associated with Recruiter roles within Walmart. This pathway is designed for transitioning Service members interested in talent acquisition, human resources, candidate engagement, workforce planning, recruiting operations, and business partnership. Recruiters support the hiring process by identifying, attracting, screening, and engaging candidates for open roles. This role partners with hiring managers, business leaders, HR partners, and candidates to support workforce needs and deliver a positive candidate experience. Working under the guidance of experienced talent acquisition professionals, participants will learn how recruiters support requisition intake, sourcing strategies, candidate review, interview coordination, stakeholder communication, selection support, compliance processes, hiring events, and hiring process execution. Training may include exposure to applicant tracking systems, candidate databases, sourcing tools, recruiting dashboards, job posting review, candidate screening, interview scheduling, compliance expectations, and recruiting communication standards. All primary responsibilities will be assisted or performed under the direct supervision of experienced Walmart Talent Acquisition or Human Resources professionals. Over the course of the SkillBridge experience, participants will have the opportunity to: Translate military recruiting, leadership, administrative, communication, or personnel experience into civilian talent acquisition skills. Build role-specific capability through training, mentorship, and on-the-job learning. Gain exposure to Walmart's recruiting standards, systems, tools, and processes. Develop a professional network and increase readiness for post-separation employment.
This SkillBridge opportunity is designed for Service members interested in a career in Talent Acquisition as a Recruiter. Participants will gain exposure to Walmart's recruiting environment, hiring processes, systems, candidate experience standards, compliance expectations, and stakeholder partnership practices through structured learning and supervised practical application. This Recruiter SkillBridge opportunity is based in Arkansas. Candidates may be responsible for lodging and travel costs depending on assigned training location, business requirements, and program structure.

Preferred qualifications: Recruiter candidates should have experience or training in recruiting, human resources, administration, customer service, communication, personnel management, stakeholder engagement, project management, or a related field. Active-Duty Service members of any rank, enlisted or officer, may apply. Senior-level consideration may be available based on applicable industry experience and transferable military background. Participation requires command approval and adherence to all DoD SkillBridge guidelines. Candidates must be eligible to participate within their approved SkillBridge window. Participants are not eligible for compensation from Walmart while on active duty and will continue to receive military pay, allowances, and benefits from the U.S. Government during the SkillBridge period.
