Virginia Tech Applied Research Corporation (VT-ARC)

VT-ARC will provide the best internship experience that will offer real-world commercial execution of innovation consulting. Intern responsibilities will include working closely with our Science and Technology Engagements &Analysis Division and with our Business Development team. Daily instruction and mentorship will be provided by our most strategic Director, Dr. Klemic. Participation in the SkillBridge program will prepare theselected Intern for future roles in innovation consulting and prove to be a career enhancement experience. Throughout the 40-45 days, some of the key Intern functions will include gathering information on VT-ARC’s current technology transferand transition (T3) activities under two Partnership Intermediary Agreement (PIA) contracts for the Air Force Office of Scientific Research and the Army Research Laboratory, via review of performance reports and interviews with VT-ARC’s team and sponsors, and then developing a T3 strategy to guide VT-ARC’s future T3 activities on the PIAs.

The Innovation Strategist will guide Technology Transfer and Transition (T3) activities for VT-ARC’s two Partnership Intermediary Agreement (PIA) contracts with the Air Force Office of Scientific Research and the Army Research Laboratory. Duties include engagement and analysis of the DoD innovation ecosystem to guide VT-ARC’s T3 activitiesfor the two PIAs.
