The objective of Flatwater Wealth’s SkillBridge program will be to introduce service members to the financial services industry while simultaneously becoming licensed Financial Advisors. Participants will get hands on experience working with client accounts under supervision from licensed professionals. This experience will include verifying trades, account deposits, transfers and other transaction-based processes built into Flatwater’s internal business. Understanding the basic fundamentals of client account services is essential for all financial advisors at Flatwater Wealth. In addition to learning the functions of customer’s accounts, participants will have time set aside each week to shadow financial advisors in their day-to-day activities. These activities will include in office consultations as well as meeting with clients on the road or over remote interfaces. Our goal is to have SkillBridge member’s prepared to become qualified/confident financial advisors upon completion of the program. The last goal of the Flatwater SkillBridge program is to set time aside each week for participants to study for their required exams needed to become licensed financial advisors. Participants will study for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, the General Securities Registered Representative License (also known as the Series 7), as well as the Uniform Securities Agent License (known as the Series 66). Costs related to the study and completion of these test will be covered by Flatwater Wealth and not be the responsibility of the Participant. The completion of these three tests will allow a participant to be fully licensed in the financial services industry. Upon completion of Flatwater Wealth’s SkillBridge program, the service member will be a licensed financial advisor able to provide personalized financial planning along with servicing of accounts in an operational capacity.
