The trainee gains hands-on experience in veteran service delivery, case management support, workforce development, education services, outreach, and program administration.Based on departmental needs and the trainee’s career interests, duties may include assisting with veteran intake and referrals, supporting benefits and education-related services, contributing to employment and workforce initiatives, participating in outreach and community engagement activities, and providing administrative or program support. The trainee works under the supervision of experienced staff and participates in job shadowing, project-based learning, and cross-functional collaboration to develop transferable skills applicable to careers in government, nonprofit, and veteran support organizations.
