Metronome wishes to join the SkillBridge program to provide Service Members with additional training and industry knowledge as they look to prepare for their careers outside of the military. Our program is designed to accept varying levels of Human Resources (HR) focused individuals who will learn about how companies like Metronome provide a work environment conducive to personal and professional growth while supporting Metronome’s purpose and operating as an employer of choice in the government contractor industry. The HR Intern SkillBridge Training Plan is designed to provide comprehensive training and hands-on experience in various aspects of human resources management. Over a minimum period of 90 days, the intern will gain practical skills and knowledge in maintaining employee records, compliance tasks, employee engagement initiatives, HR research, organizational management, and more. The training will encompass both theoretical learning and practical application through real-world HR tasks. Collectively, our program will provide each candidate with a greater understanding of HR services and career paths in which they can choose to pursue post-military service.

Job Title SkillBridge Human Resources (HR) Intern Job Description The SkillBridge HR Intern will be responsible for assisting the HR department with various administrative tasks and projects. Under supervision, this role provides administrative and operational support to the HR function as needed, including maintaining employee personnel files, conducting background checks, ensuring timecard compliance, processing educational assistance requests, aiding with employee engagement initiatives, conducting HR department research, managing the company org chart, developing and maintaining the company intranet site. Length of Training Minimum 90 days. Timeline and Titles of Training Modules and Learning Outcomes Weeks 1-2: Orientation and Policy Familiarization Overview of company HR policies and procedures. Introduction to maintaining employee personnel files. Weeks 3-4: Compliance and Records Management Training on administering background checks and ensuring compliance. Hands-on experience in timecard compliance and processing Educational Assistance requests. Weeks 5-6: Employee Engagement and Communication Introduction to employee engagement initiatives. Training on distributing monthly pulse check results. Introduction to communication protocols within HR and with other departments. Weeks 7-8: Systems Management and Auditing Hands-on experience in auditing and updating timekeeping systems and PTO balances. Training on conducting I-9 audits. Weeks 9-10: HR Research and Analysis Introduction to HR department research. Guided practice in conducting research for HR projects. Weeks 11-12: Organizational Management and Support Training on managing company org charts and intranet sites. Hands-on experience in providing clerical and operational support to HR staff. Specific Learning Objectives 1. Understand and apply HR policies and procedures. 2. Learn to maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files. 3. Develop skills in administering background checks and ensuring compliance with regulations. 4. Gain proficiency in timecard compliance and processing educational assistance requests. 5. Learn to effectively analyze and distribute monthly pulse check results to managers. 6. Develop skills in auditing and updating timekeeping systems and PTO balances. 7. This is a HR-focused internship, with Metronome providing all administrative costs associated with the internship. This position is hybrid/remote that will have synchronous engagement with possible in-person engagement as well. No cost for intern, Metronome covers any administrative costs associated with this opportunity
