At Neal Landscape and Irrigation you will learn the fundamentals of; irrigation installation/operation, learn the different chemicals in pest control, knowledge and installation of sod species, Learn proper propagation and graphing of plants and last but not least learn how to use heavy machinery such as Skid Steers, Back Hoes, Excavator, and trenchers. Neal Landscape is also in the process of opening their own trucking industry where we will not only teach drivers, based upon GA driving standards but also have jobs available for people interested in that industry.
Job description:
The jobs that are available now are all entry level positions, irrigation, construction, and maintenance. Upon completion of the SkillBridge Program the transitioning warrior will have the ability to apply for one of our following jobs; supervisor, crew leader, account manager, foreman, irrigation team lead, construction crew leader, or maintenance foreman. All of these positions are highly sought after positions within the landscape industry, with the proper training, any one of the participants would qualify for these job opportunities.
Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, hearing, and repetitive motions. Must be able to perform medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must possess the visual acuity to operate equipment and motor vehicles, perform trades tasks, inspect the work of others, and review work for accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness. We are Certified by the State of Georgia as a Drug and tobacco free work environment.
