Mountain City Church, Inc. - Mountain City Church Ministry Internship

The Intern Director of Outreach is responsible for providing leadership, coordination, support, and equipping for the churches outreach campaigns and ministries. The Outreach Intern ensures that MTN City is effective in reaching every Alaskan with the gospel as well as being Salt & Light in the community. This includes working with the Gospel Project Alaska campaign and Community and Leadership Impact. In addition, they assist in coordinating other Church wide events and initiatives to impact and serve the community.

Responsibilities: 1. Vision, Values and Standards:• Maintain and facilitate a professional environment which is based in the shared belief in the mission, vision, and values of MTN City. Encourage, motivate, challenge, and lead staff to develop their greatest potential in their respective positions.• Uphold and live out the strategy of Capture, Inspire, and Equip.• Be able to execute the vision of the Lead Pastor, especially in Outreach. 2. Leadership:• Lead the Military Outreach efforts.• Build Partnerships to effectively engage military personnel stationed in Alaska. • Build a leadership pipeline of volunteers to reach military personnel. • Ensure outreach programming is completed and is executed with the highest level of excellence. • Align vision and create strategies (curriculum, communication tools, events, etc.) used to help equip the Outreach teams. • Help Build a healthy culture of the Outreach Serve Teams. 3. Event Management:• Assist Church wide in needed requests for outreach and impact events. • Ensure that MTN City is making an impact in the community through leadership initiatives, partnerships, & service events. 4. Communication:• Develop clear lines of communication within your team and throughout the church. 5. Resource & Equip:• Providing all the necessary materials to Outreach Teams for effective execution of weekly Vision, Values and Standards.• Provide equipping, training, infrastructure for Outreach Serve Teams. Equip huddles and resources for continued training, particularly as it relates to outreach; plan and coordinate celebrations of team accomplishments.Position Requirements:• Demonstrates Character, Competency, Chemistry and Commitment while modeling the virtues of an Ideal Team Player – Humble, Hungry, Smart.• Modeling and championing the Mission, Vision, Values and Standards of MTN City Church.• Attendance at a weekend service and participation in a Group.• Obeying the MTN City Church Staff Policies & Procedures. • Respond to email, phone call, and text messages in a timely fashion. • Any additional requirements set by the Lead Pastor.Measurements: The Intern Director of Outreach will be evaluated by the following quantifiable measurements:• All established Outreach Team Dashboard metrics.• Communicating the standards and processes between Outreach and other departments. • Building and maintaining relationships that are needed to support and execute team goals.• Planning and stewardship of Team Budgets and Resources.
