The In-Kind and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of gifts in-kind and logistics of the Soldiers’ Angels warehouse at their Headquarters in San Antonio. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Inventory and In-kind Management: Inbound items as they arrive and in a timely manner. Package/re-package items for shipping. Load, unload and wrap pallets as necessary. Conduct weekly inventory. Complete the appropriate Soldiers’ Angels in-kind donation paperwork as well as the filing of in-kind paperwork and VA donation records for assigned in-kind donations. Ensure appropriate stewardship of gifts-in-kind via acknowledgment letters, phone calls, gift policies, adherence to donor bill of rights, and sharing accurate information of how gifts are being used to benefit families and the community. Share information with the Development and Communications team that can be included in affiliate communication tools (newsletter, eNews, early bird, annual report, direct mail and acknowledgment letters) to effectively inform donors of the need for and impact of their donations. Oversees the shipment of care packages and items to their proper destinations. Sources and manages products for service to deployed and veterans. Volunteer Management: Oversee individual volunteers during their regular shifts. Oversee corporate group volunteers and lead their activities. Keep the calendar of volunteer activities up to date. Steward volunteers to keep them engaged and active. Recruit regular volunteers from pool of corporate/group volunteers that serve periodically. Donation Diversification: Look for opportunities to solicit budget-relieving goods and products for use in care packages, Holidays Stockings, etc. Apply for grants and requests for budget relieving items in-kind. Approach local distributors for potential gifts in-kind.
