This opportunity is meant to train transitioning servicemembers and veterans on supporting local construction projects through a variety of aggregate hauling techniques to include hauling, paving, milling, and slinging. Participants will be trained on basic maintenance of commercial motor vehicles, federal motor carrier safety regulations, and operating a civilian CMV. We will assist eligible participants in utilizing state and federal programs to convert their military drivers license into a Commercial Drivers License.
Job description:
We are seeking a skilled Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate dump trucks to transport materials to and from construction sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, possess mechanical knowledge. Duties:- Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials within construction sites- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition- Load and unload materials using the truck's hydraulic system- Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws while on the road- Communicate with site supervisors and team members to coordinate material transportation efficiently- Assist with other tasks on the construction site as neededExperience:- Proven experience as driver or heavy equipment operator- Commercial driving license (CDL) or Military Equivalent with a clean driving record- Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues- Familiarity with operating heavy equipment like graders, backhoes, and water trucks- Previous experience working on construction sites is a plusRequirements:- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or Military Equivalent with a clean driving record- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow safety protocols- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team

Must possess or be able to possess a valid Kentucky or Ohio drivers license. Participants with eligible MOS/MOC and documentation proving operation of military equivalents to CMVs will be able to receive their CDL using Federal and State testing Waivers.
