Explore the mapThe HKPO Veterans Academy SkillBridge Program provides transitioning service members with a full-time, remote professional-development and career-transition experience focused on training, mentorship, certifications, project experience, networking, and civilian career readiness.HKPO uses a maximum 180-day SkillBridge training window with individualized concurrent pathways. Available training options include a 60-day Lean Practitioner pathway, 90-day Lean Six Sigma Green Belt pathway, and 120-day Lean Six Sigma Black Belt pathway. Participants authorized for additional time may continue with PMP preparation when eligible, leadership development, resume and LinkedIn optimization, interview preparation, networking, job-search support, mentorship, and individualized career planning.The program helps participants translate military leadership, operational experience, project experience, and problem-solving skills into civilian career opportunities in project management, operations, logistics, process improvement, business operations, leadership, and related fields.Applicants should complete the HKPO Veterans Academy application, submit a current resume, confirm command approval for requested SkillBridge dates, and coordinate with HKPO for current program availability, required documents, training pathway selection, and onboarding guidance.
The HKPO Veterans Academy SkillBridge Program is a full-time, remote Department of War SkillBridge opportunity designed for transitioning service members seeking professional development, mentorship, training, certifications, networking, and project-based experience in Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, Leadership, business operations, logistics, process improvement, and career readiness.The program is customizable based on each participant’s command-approved SkillBridge dates, individual career goals, training pathway, and approved program length. Participants may complete Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt preparation, Project Management Professional preparation (when eligible), leadership training, resume support, LinkedIn profile development, mentorship activities, and real-world individual or cohort-based projects.*** 60-Day Lean Practitioner PathwayParticipants develop foundational Lean problem-solving skills through Lean principles, A3 methodology, root cause analysis, workplace design, workflow improvement, project execution, and certification review. The pathway includes online curriculum, daily check-ins, coaching, practical project deliverables, knowledge checks, and a certification exam.*** 90-Day Lean Six Sigma Green Belt PathwayParticipants complete Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training and a DMAIC-based improvement project. Training progresses through Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control and includes project tollgates, data collection, root cause analysis, improvement planning, control planning, certification preparation, and final project submission.*** 120-Day Lean Six Sigma Black Belt PathwayParticipants complete advanced Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training focused on project leadership, advanced statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, regression, Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, sustainability planning, certification preparation, certification exam, and final project closeout.*** 180 Days – Extended Career Transition SupportParticipants authorized for additional SkillBridge time after completing their assigned certification pathway may continue with PMP preparation when eligible, resume and LinkedIn optimization, interview preparation, professional networking, job-search support, mentorship, career coaching, leadership development, and individualized career transition planning.
