Ideally the candidates would have IFSAC Firefighter 1 & 2 certification and/or National Registry EMT-Basic and be looking for employment as a civilian firefighter after their military service.

Fire Academy Opportunity to receive Firefighter and EMT Certification runs from early February to Mid-May each year for those who need training. Certified individuals have much more flexibility in scheduling throughout the year.
