Job description:
A Fire Sprinkler Design Technician is responsible for designing fire protection systems to safeguard buildings and occupants against the threat of fire. Using 3D CAD modeling software and technical expertise, they create detailed plans for the layout and installation of fire sprinkler systems in compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role involves collaborating with engineering teams, conducting hydraulic calculations, and ensuring designs meet code requirements. Fire Sprinkler Design Technicians play a vital role in enhancing fire safety by providing efficient and effective solutions for all types of building structures. Specific responsibilities include: Design Development: Collaborate with engineering teams to develop detailed fire sprinkler system designs based on project requirements, building codes, and industry standards. System Layout: Create layout drawings, hydraulic calculations, and material lists for fire sprinkler systems using three-dimensional CAD software and other design tools. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs meet local, state, and national fire codes, as well as NFPA standards and other relevant regulations. Technical Support: Provide technical support to project managers, field technicians, and other stakeholders throughout the design, installation, and testing phases of projects. Coordination: Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.
