Summary description:
Job Title – Geothermal Installer Job Description – Assist vertical drilling and directional boring operations to install geothermal ground loop systems. Possess valid driver’s license with ability to meet insurance criteria. Willing to work toward commercial driver’s license in time. Ability to report to work in Cresco, IA and travel with crew as needed in IA, MN, WI and IL (up to 150 mile radius from Cresco, IA). Promotes a positive view of the company. Take required courses and attend industry training conferences as available throughout the year, Communicate and work with employees, customers and vendors. MUST be willing to work daytime, evening, and able to travel overnight (when needed).
Job description:
Responsible for gathering and maintaining records of data collected for project file and progress monitoring; completed daily and weekly. Demonstrate a positive attitude toward co-workers an customers, act as an advocate for Geothermal Eco Options, Inc within the community.Responsible for timely attendance and attentive work effort at employment site and maintain performance and behavior at the employment site. Needs to show initiative, organization, responsibility, and be able to take direction and guidance. Recognition of the need for confidentiality with respect to customer’s right to privacy, and company’s right to protect operational processes. Other duties assigned by Geothermal Eco Options, Inc Management.
We are a private business that installs geothermal ground loops using vertical or directional boring equipment. We are seasonal in nature and can work with any time frames but for winter months of December, January and February.Must meet fleet and liability insurance standards; criminal history review

Training Outcome: Understanding of geothermal ground loop types, definitions of drilling and boring equipment, knowledge of materials used in the process of drilling and grouting, awareness of hand and power tools used.For career contemplation, the ability to commit to minimum of 2 years field experience to sit for IA DNR well driller certification and International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) accredited installer certification.Pass D.O.T. physical and have acceptable drivers license with good driving record
