Job description:
Week 1: (Training) Data Science 101. Students learn and apply practices related to Data Cleaning and Wrangling, Exploratory Data Analysis. They begin to explore basic Machine Learning algorithms and study concepts related to Data Visualization. Week 2: (Practice) Apply skills learned in Week 1 on various datasets. Week 3: (Training) Data Science 201. Students delve into more advanced Machine Learning algorithms, dimensionality reduction, and examples of how to apply algorithms to different types of datasets. Finally, students will learn about neural networks and deep learning models being used today (e.g., ChatGPT). Week 4 - end of time with Praxis: (Practice) Work on a Praxis research project representing a real-world problem.
Located at Praxis HQ in Annapolis Junction, MD -- which is next door to Fort Meade!

To be considered, applicants should have experience coding (Python, C/C++, Java are preferred) and a basic understanding of the software development process. Applicants should have an interest in applying their coding skills to real-world, mission-relevant scenarios in the Machine Learning, High Performance computing, and/or Cybersecurity domains.
