ATX Defense - Cybersecurity

This opportunity provides training and experience on becoming a cybersecurity consultant for DoD contractors seeking to achieve Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance using Google Workspace and other Google Cloud services. Cybersecurity Consultants provide assistance to the 300,000+ companies in the Defense Industrial Base (i.e. companies who contract with DoD) and can support them to meet the 110+ security controls required to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).

At the end of the internship, candidates will be able to apply an understanding of the 110 CMMC cybersecurity controls as Certified CMMC Professionals. Additionally, candidates will receive exposure to Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platform with an opportunity to become certified administrators/cloud engineers. Candidates will participate in real compliance assessments and interface with clients who provide products or services to the DoD.

Participants must possess a certification aligned with DoDM 8140.03, Security Control Assessor, under "Intermediate" or "Advanced" levels. Examples of intermediate certifications include CompTIA Security+, CASP+, PenTest+, or Cloud+; GIAC GSEC; ISC2 CGRC/CAPExamples of advanced certifications include ISC2 CISSP; CompTIA CySA+; ISACA CISM or CISA; Mile2 CISSO or CPTE; GIAC GCSA, GSLC, or GSNA.
