Motz Engineering offers a structured Skillbridge training program designed to prepare transitioning service members for careers in Building Commissioning within mission critical, healthcare, higher education and commercial facilities. Participants will receive hands-on training in commissioning processes, safety procedures, equipment testing, documentation practices, and professional communication. The program combines classroom instruction, mentorship, and field experience to develop technical, leadership, and problem-solving skills aligned with entry-level Commissioning Engineer roles. Training includes exposure to industry standards, safety practices, and real project environments to support successful transition into civilian engineering careers. Participants who successfully complete the program may be considered for full-time employment based on performance and business needs.
Job description:
SkillBridge participants will train for an entry-level Commissioning Engineer position supporting building systems testing and quality verification. Responsibilities may include. Assisting with functional testing of mechanical and electrical systems. Supporting Integrated Systems Testing (IST) activities. Learning commissioning documentation processes and reporting practices. Participating in safety training including OSHA and NFPA 70 E awareness. Supporting development of test procedures and checklists6. Observing equipment startup and verification activities. Learning project communication and coordination practices. Supporting field inspections and verification activities. Developing professional communication and technical reporting skills. Participants will work under experienced commissioning professionals and mentors while gaining exposure to project environments and engineering workflows.We do not post specific jobs for the SkillBridge program because any open role could be considered for a SkillBridge opportunity.
