To provide service members opportunities to learn new skills while using their knowledge, skills and abilities obtained from the service in the civilian workforce. This opportunity will allow a qualified candidate to learn this skills required of a job coach and to put those skills into action. A job coach provides support and guidance to each client so they can be successful at their job.
Job description:
Provide Job Coaching at community job sites to assure that the client is successful and promotes a positive view of the company, Travel to Scott County, Muscatine County, and Rock Island County, Take required courses throughout the year, Communicate and work with Employers on behalf of the client, MUST be willing to work daytime, evening, and weekend shifts (when needed), Responsible for gathering and maintaining records of data collected for community worksite clients for the progress monitoring completed daily and weekly, Bring awareness and demonstrate a positive attitude toward cultural and socio-economic diversity, Act as an advocate for MVP, LLC within the community, Flexibility based on client needs, Meets with MVP, LLC owner to assure that the employment placement is a good fit for the client and that the progress made is ample and troubleshoot any adaptations that need to be made for the client, Report to MVP, LLC owner to assure that client needs are met, Responsible for client(s) at employment site and monitor performance and behavior at the employment site; work with worksite to troubleshoot and resolve any issues, Work with the host employer to develop an effective plan for fading agency supports and natural supports at the job site, Needs to show initiative, organization, responsibility, and be able to take direction and guidance, Recognition of the need for confidentiality with respect to clients’ right to privacy, Other duties assigned by MVP, LLC Management.
