This SkillBridge program is designed to allow military nondestructive examination technicians to gain valuable skills and experience for successful transition to civilian NDE positions. At Siemens Energy, our NDE Field Technicians perform examination of various components of steam and combustion turbines and generators across the United States and beyond. Technicians use UT, ET, PT, MT, VT, & RT techniques to support our customer power plant outage planning and production control. Technicians also prepare shipments of test equipment for domestic and international shipping. They support the development of new and continuous improvement of existing specialty service applications and tooling for use in the field. Take your NDE skills and experience to the next level as you transition into civilian life. TRAINING/TRAVEL/LODGING PROVIDED AT NO EXPENSE TO PARTICIPANTS. Please note that participants hired after the SkillBridge program do not need to relocate to the Pittsburgh area.
Participants will have a minimum of 3 years NDE experience and hold NDE certifications as required by their respective branch regulations, strong safety mindset, and open to coaching, feedback, and mentorship. Please reach out to the POC if you are interested in applying for the program.
