Punta Brava Surf and Golf Club is an exclusive club currently in development hidden at the tip of a seven mile peninsula surrounded on three sides by the pacific and guarded to the east by a 1,200 foot mountain peak. The golf course, designed by Tiger Woods, will be one of the greatest courses in the world, with five holes that require the golfer to hit her ball over the ocean to reach the green. Founding members include Tiger Woods, Kelly Slater, Steph Curry, Canelo Alvarez, Patrick Mahomes, Egon Durban, and a variety of other notable individuals who are committed to supporting Navy SEALs of character as they make their transition out of the military to the civilian sector. Those selected for SkillBridge at Punta Brava will have access to positions at Punta Brava working on land activities (hiking, shooting, golf, etc.), water activities (spearfishing, surfing, boating, etc.), as well as technology, security, construction, etc. SkillBridge participants will have access to, and will be proactively paired with, some of our 385 members who are leaders within their respective industries. Initial home base will be Coronado, California, and participants will spend part of their time at Punta Brava, located 70 miles south of San Diego, in Ensenada, Baja, California, Mexico. Lodging will be provided near the Club and participants can expect to interact with Punta Brava senior leadership, Founders, Members and their families on a regular basis. Through Punta Brava's benevolent arm, Beyond the Brotherhood, participants will develop a training plan specific to each participant to place them within our organization or at one of our member's companies. Character attributes required for all participants include: humility, discipline, and service. Skillsets required include problem solving, leadership, being comfortable moving in a foreign country and robust interpersonal skills as you will be exposed to high-ranking leaders of industry regularly. We view entrance into our SkillsBridge program as the beginning of a long and mutually beneficial relationship.
Job description:
Those selected for SkillBridge will start out by working part of their time in one of the positions at the club while while developing skills they need to build their marketability in their chose profession. These positions include teaching or managing the surf, diving, spearfishing, shooting, deep sea fishing, biking activities for members as well as managing the technology, security, marina, airfield and security details. There are 385 individuals/families in the Punta Brava Golf Membership Plan. These members are captains of industry across the entire spectrum of business, sports and entertainment sectors. Towards the end of the SkillBridge program, participants will be matched with a few of Punta Brava's members who work in the field/sector that the participant desires to develop a career in. Each participant will spend a few weeks at the members company learning and experiencing what that job would be like. The goal is for the participant to be well informed about that company and the industry and have multiple offers to choose from. For those participants who are wired to be an entrepreneur, Punta Brava will help create a plan, provide support and build pathway towards achieving their goal. The members of the club may even fund the first phase of the participants idea.
