The training program will cover equipment familiarization, yard duties, light mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and advanced diagnostics through a mix of classroom and hands-on instruction.
The Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heavy machinery used in construction, such as skid steers, excavators, telehandlers, scissor lifts, & boom lifts. This role includes performing preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting mechanical issues, completing light repairs, and supporting experienced technicians in more complex repairs. Other responsibilities include fueling, cleaning, and ensuring equipment is ready for daily operation
This program runs nationwide rather than in a single state, so there is no one state wage benchmark to show for it.
