Job description:
Ensures physical security of the buildings, property, and the protection and safety of personnel. Protects critical property, documents, information, materials and equipment that impact the national defense. Under emergency situations, immediately takes appropriate action to ensure the security of personnel, facilities and sensitive material, using initiative and judgment in interpreting and applying policies and procedures. Maintains vigilance against acts of terrorism, sabotage, espionage, theft, violence, and infractions of rules. Must be trained and knowledgeable in terrorism to determine the potential nature of the threat, available terrorist weapons, tactics, and countermeasure. Must know or be able to prepare detailed sketches of entry and exit routes of buildings, windows floor locations, obstacles, the surrounding perimeter, etc. Coordinates with emergency services (i.e. fire and rescue) and other agencies as appropriate.
