This will be a 12 week training program which will equal to 576 hours. The training which will take place from Monday through Thursdays will be 12 hours each day. Training will consist of Certified Instructor classroom training, Certified Instructor led on the job training , Competency Assessment Exams each week. Each objective level will provide the Service Member the training and hands on experience to perform capacity planning, standard cost analysis and the ability to improve the production process and product quality.
Job description:
The Electrical Maintenance Technician position is responsible for completion of the day-to-day activities involving installation, troubleshooting, electrical wiring, electrical power-up, repair, and maintenance of the production facility and related equipment and machinery, including blown film extrusion lines, to support the production process and achieve business goals and quality production standards. The role may involve additional responsibilities and opportunities as they become necessary and/or are assigned by management. Job Responsibilities: Perform highly diversified duties to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install machines, tools, and equipment including preventive maintenance. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment. Perform electrical skills, including repairing electrical controls, equipment and wiring, as well as the troubleshooting, installation, and repair of electrical components and high frequency drives. Troubleshoot solid state electronic circuitry and read electrical schematics. Make adjustments and/or recommendations on mechanisms to keep system in operation. Program various PLC's. Specific knowledge and experience with electrical safety and LOTO procedures Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and the troubleshooting of blown film extruders and ancillary equipment. Perform machinist skills for fabricating parts as needed. Knowledge of vacuum pumps and systems, material handling systems (loaders, silos). Maintain Maintenance shop cleanliness and orderliness. Wear all personal safety equipment required by Company policy and follow all Company safety policies and procedures. Ability to work overtime as required. Rotate on-call schedule with maintenance staff. Maintain thorough knowledge of all department processes and equipment towards effective problem solving and troubleshooting. Maintain a positive attitude and display good work ethic by modeling appropriate behaviors. Facilitate robust communications within and across shifts and with other departmental resources. Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position and the company.

Ability to read mechanical and electrical and/or engineering blueprints, drawings and schematics. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot; repair mechanical and electrical systems and equipment. Prior experience with blown film extrusion preferred. Work Environment & Physical Demands: Capable of lifting 50+ pounds unassisted. Able to work / stand for extended periods of time. Climb stairs, crouch, kneel, bend. Ability to work on mezzanine at elevated heights. Rotate on-call schedule with maintenance staff.
