Charleston Police Department

The Charleston Police Department provides a structured internship program to provide first-hand experience to individuals interested in a law enforcement career at this department. This program supports job shadowing for specific units of the police department and ride-alongs with experienced officers. Interns are provided with direct, one-on-one contact with the recruiter to assist with submitting an application and preparing for the hiring process.

Must be 21 years of ago or older, must agree to abide by all program requirements and rules, must be willing to complete any and all waiver requests, must successfully pass an application and background check performed by the this agency.
