The Gulfstream Aerospace DoD SkillBridge program offers internship opportunities for Active Duty Service Members of all branches from 90 to 180 days prior to their separation. Our program is not limited to specific positions and includes a wide variety of internships for all levels of experience and technical backgrounds. Upon successful completion of the internship, the candidate will be considered for direct employment. Aircraft Maintenance Technician - Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. 2+ years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical) and/or A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Valid Driver’s License required.Purpose: Under close supervision, perform or assist with various functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components to ensure proper operation. Perform basic aircraft maintenance and perform troubleshooting and repair duties.Avionics Electrical Technician - Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required. 5 years experience in an avionics/electrical career field. 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics may offset two years of experience requirement. A & P license, FCC license or NCATT certification preferred.Purpose: Provides technical expertise while performing various operational, functional tests and repairs of avionics/electronic, aircraft equipment and systems to ensure a defect free aircraft. Provides superior technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting and repairing system discrepancies to ensure minimum schedule impact. Demonstrates technical expertise and y defining and implementing process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising Safety or Quality.
