Defense Innovation Ecosystem Analyst

Seeking a transitioning Service Member to serve as a Defense Innovation Ecosystem Analyst through the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program.This assignment provides the selected Service Member an opportunity to apply military leadership, operational experience, analytical skills, and mission-focused problem solving within a civilian defense innovation environment while developing practical experience in technology transition, ecosystem development, business development, university engagement, and public-private partnerships.Working alongside and under the mentorship of leadership, the SkillBridge participant will help identify, organize, and connect capabilities across universities, federal laboratories, defense organizations, startup companies, established industry, incubators, accelerators, and other innovation organizations supporting Department of War priorities.A primary focus of the assignment will be helping the organization develop and maintain a living architecture of the Massachusetts and New England defense innovation ecosystem. This architecture will allow the organization and its government partners to more rapidly identify relevant technologies, organizations, subject-matter experts, facilities, and transition opportunities and connect those capabilities to operational requirements.The participant will gain direct exposure to the intersection of government requirements, emerging technology, academia, industry, entrepreneurship, and defense acquisition and transition while contributing to the organization's broader mission of strengthening the Massachusetts and New England Defense Industrial Base.
