Safety Internship will support safety inspections, hazard/safety assessments, procedures, SOPs, and incident response and investigation. Position will include training, as necessary, utilizing online training resources and in person/hands on. The expectation is 40 hours per week in the office. 1-3 years of some safety experience is preferred.
Job description:
The Safety Engineer Intern supports the Environment, Health & Safety team by assisting with basic safety program activities, compliance tasks, and day‑to‑day EHS operations. Under supervision, the intern helps conduct safety inspections, participate in hazard assessments, assist in developing JSAs, safe work procedures, and support incident investigations. The role also helps with training coordination, documentation, recordkeeping, and hazardous waste handling tasks as allowed. The intern may assist with product safety reviews or regulatory research as part of engineering support projects. This position is intended to provide hands-on learning in EHS compliance, risk reduction, and safety culture development.
40 hours in the Carlsbad, CA office.

Some Safety and Health & Environmental experience preferred. Role is based in Carlsbad, CA and expected to be on site 5 days a week. During the internship, you will continue receiving your current military pay. Upon successful completion of the internship and acceptance of a full-time offer, the annual salary will be based on appropriate experience level.
