The Army JROTC SkillBridge participant supports daily operations of a high‑school Junior ROTC program by assisting instructors with classroom activities, leadership labs, training events, and administrative tasks. The role includes helping organize and supervise cadet activities such as drill, fitness training, marksmanship, and team practices, as well as preparing instructional materials and maintaining program equipment. The participant may assist with scheduling, record‑keeping, logistics coordination, and preparation for school or community events. This position provides hands‑on experience in instructional support, youth leadership development, and school‑based program management while working directly with certified Army JROTC instructors. The SkillBridge participant is expected to maintain professional conduct, communicate effectively, and support a safe and structured learning environment for cadets.
Participation in the SkillBridge program does not obligate the school district to hire the participant. Final employment decisions for JROTC instructor positions are determined exclusively by the hiring authority of each school district.
