The Home Depot, an employer of over 35,000 veterans and military spouses, is an authorized industry partner of the Department of Defense’s SkillBridge program. The Home Depot is excited to offer transitioning Active Duty servicemembers the opportunity to learn from Retail Leadership within our stores.Fellows will gain an understanding of store operations, including customer service, department readiness, and operational processes. Fellows will work with and learn from Assistant Store Managers, Store Managers, and District Human Resource Managers to address customer service escalations, coach & develop associates, and perform Manager on Duty responsibilities to maximize contribution to the store's success. During their time with The Home Depot, fellows will be considered for permanent positions within our stores. Some of these roles may include Customer Experience Manager, Night Replenishment Manager, Assistant Store Manager, and Merchandising Execution Team Manager.Must be able to commit a minimum of 11 weeks to the program.Must be approved to participate in the SkillBridge program with your military installation command. Requires periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
