VRC Metal Systems Cold Spray Technician Program is designed for to train VRC Cold Spray Technician. There are no prerequisites for the Cold Spray Technician Program, however, it is recommended that prior to training that the trainee shall have developed skills in the following areas: safety, math skills, and communication skills. In this program participants will learn the basics of cold spray and the cold spray industry. They will also learn about the 14 areas of knowledge (modules) that are needed to become a Cold Spray Technician . The program will be taught in a laboratory/work setting with a trainer demonstration format. Participants will be given tasks and will be required to accomplish those tasks during the scheduled program session. The instructor will instruct through lectures, demonstrations, small group instruction and one-to-one instruction. Subject Matter Experts (SME) who have expertise Cold Spray.

The VRC Metal Systems Cold Spray Technician/SkillBridge program is designed to lead into a career as a Cold Spray Technician. Other career pathways associated with this job include the potential for management of Cold Spray Technicians as well as Project Leaders.
Training for the Cold Spray Technician program will take place at either the Box Elder, South Dakota or Webster, Massachusetts location. Following the successful completion of the Cold Spray Technician program employment opportunities will be available at these locations as well as the possibility of employment at sites throughout the United States. VRC Metal Systems currently has openings on the East and West Coast for Cold Spray Technicians and expansion into the Southern United States.
