Packet Digital is an engineering company focusing on battery and power system development for autonomous systems. The Fargo, North Dakota based company recently expanded with the acquisition of a 25,000-square-foot manufacturing facility that will allow increased production. The increase in manufacturing capacity is important because the use of autonomous systems is rapidly expanding in the defense industry as well as for commercial use. Everything from transport, defense, intelligence gathering, surveying and more increasingly relies on the use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). State-of-the-art machinery, such as an SMT line, allows the world-class Packet Digital team to handle more of the battery production process in-house, for both internal commercial products, as well as for our contract customers.

The Manufacturing Intern supports the manufacturing process by assembling and testing our productsand will perform a variety of activities that augment Packet Digital’s engineering services and productionprocesses. Activities include final assembly, welding, CNC operation, soldering, and kitting, among others. This role requires a hands-on contributor with a desire to learn about effective manufacturing and quality systems.
