Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) TraineeDepartment of Defense SkillBridge ProgramPosition SummaryThe Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) Trainee participates in WBL Solutions' Department of Defense SkillBridge Program, providing transitioning Service Members with an opportunity to begin a career in Oracle database administration. This structured training position is intended for individuals with little or no prior experience in information technology, database administration, or enterprise systems.Working under the guidance of experienced Oracle Database Administrators and technical mentors, trainees receive hands on instruction in Oracle Database architecture, database administration fundamentals, Linux operating systems, database security, backup and recovery concepts, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and professional consulting practices. Participants gain practical experience through classroom instruction, self paced learning, job shadowing, laboratory exercises, and supervised project activities while developing the foundational skills required for an entry level Oracle DBA career.The primary objective of this position is professional development and career transition. Upon successful completion of the SkillBridge program, participants may be considered for employment with WBL Solutions based on demonstrated performance, company hiring needs, available positions, and mutual interest. Participation in the program does not guarantee employment and does not obligate either party to enter into an employment relationship.

Participants are expected to have little or no previous database administration experience. Through instructor led training, self paced coursework, mentoring, laboratory exercises, observation, and supervised technical assignments, trainees develop the foundational knowledge necessary to support Oracle database environments.This position focuses on technical skill development, database fundamentals, systems administration concepts, troubleshooting methodologies, and professional consulting practices rather than independent production support.
