Job description:
Under the guidance of a supervisor or higher-graded employee, the incumbent performs routine and recurring processing functions related to the admission and release of detainees, such as booking, strip and baggage searching, and similar basic processing functions under normal working conditions in the tjetention facility. Participates in the routine and basic counseling process under the guidance and direct supervision of higher-grade personnel. Provides routine information on specific and clearly defined questions and issues regarding enforcement and deportation policies, practices, and procedures. Defers to senior officers for more complicated issues, questions, and situations. Performs file searches and assembles documentation in accordance with specific instructions.
