Job description:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program is a full-time training opportunity requiring a commitment of approximately 40 hours per week. Participants receive instruction through classroom learning, clinical practice, and supervised hands-on experience designed to prepare them for a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant within a long-term care environment.Training is conducted in Watertown, New York, and includes mandatory orientation activities followed by classroom and clinical instruction. Upon successful completion of the program, participants are eligible to take the New York State CNA certification examination. Graduates may be considered for CNA positions within Samaritan Keep Home or Samaritan Summit Village.Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or GED, be able to meet healthcare employment requirements, provide proof of required immunizations, pass pre-employment screening requirements, and be capable of performing the physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds. A one-year employment commitment is required upon successful completion of the program.
No cost to participants. Training is provided through Samaritan Health. Participants receive hands-on experience and clinical training while preparing for New York State CNA certification.
