Rigorous follow-up system testing and evaluation are integral to uphold standards of quality in design, installation, and overall system performance.Effective communication is paramount, with an emphasis on articulating complex technical details in "simple terms" that are comprehensible to customers, salespersons, and Installation Technicians. Noteworthy interactions with customers or vendors are to be diligently documented, including the date, person's name, and a concise summary.The focus is on achieving impeccable system design and drawings, including the preparation of submittal drawings and detailed engineering data. responsibilities encompass preparing drawings for custom enclosures, consoles, grill cloths, and collaborating with the Project Manager and Job Superintendent to prioritize quality control and provide clear installation instructions.Additionally, the Engineer is expected to foster a collaborative environment, actively engaging with all Divisions, Profit Centers, and personnel within the company. Demonstrating teamwork, cooperation, a positive attitude, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are key attributes for success in this role.What we are looking for:Experience with CAD/AutoCADProgramming experience (C/C#/Crestron/Extron/AMX preferred)Ability to travel up to 65% including overnight travel (while in training, amount may vary)Excellent oral and written communication skillsComputer skills- Microsoft Office, typing, 10 keyBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent Experience (NEW GRADS are welcome to APPLY!)Experience with the design and installation of professional audio, video, network and lighting systems (for senior level position)Other Information you need to know:Drug Testing: Ford AV is committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace and, therefore, all employees are subject to drug testing.
