Job description:
As a SkillBridge intern, you will assist with warehouse operations, inventory management, shipment coordination, product research and development, and process improvement initiatives. You will work both independently and alongside a collaborative team to ensure donated products are received, organized, and shipped efficiently to deployed service members around the world.This internship is designed to develop transferable skills in operations management, logistics, project coordination, and continuous process improvement while providing valuable exposure to the nonprofit sector. Participants will gain practical experience in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving directly contribute to Troopster's mission of delivering essential supplies and comforts of home to those serving overseas.
Location: Sandston, Virginia (Greater Richmond Area)Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours (typically 8:00 AM–4:30 PM); occasional schedule adjustments may be required to support operational needs.Work Environment: Primarily onsite in a warehouse and office setting with opportunities for collaborative, hands-on learning.Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds, and safely operate warehouse equipment after receiving appropriate training.Dress Code: Casual, professional attire appropriate for warehouse operations; closed-toe shoes are required.Training: Participants will receive mentorship and hands-on instruction in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics coordination, process improvement, and nonprofit operations.Security Requirements: No security clearance required.Travel: Minimal to no travel required.Employment Consideration: Successful completion of the internship does not guarantee employment; however, participants will gain valuable civilian experience and professional references that support future career opportunities.Mission Impact: Every project and daily task directly contributes to Troopster's mission of delivering care packages and essential supplies to deployed U.S. military service members around the world.

Experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory management, or warehouse operations is preferred but not required. Candidates should possess effective verbal and written communication skills, the ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships, and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. The ideal participant is adaptable, eager to learn, and motivated to contribute to a mission-driven organization while supporting the operational success of Troopster Donation Corp.
