Job Summary: The primary goal is to ensure the success of our customers. The Technical Consultant function engages customers in pre- sales and post-sales stages to deliver high-valued outcomes in their software-defined data center (SDDC), hybrid cloud strategy, and architecture. Besides helping customers implement Nutanix products successfully, working with our partners, delivering migrations, private/hybrid cloud, VDI, and Tier 1 Application re-platforming solutions to enable truly software-defined data centers. The Services function includes consulting, planning, design, implementation, integration, automation services, and project management. This Technical Consultant will be part of the Nutanix Services team and deliver services that implement virtualization, cluster migration, private/hybrid cloud, automation, and orchestration for customers across the U.S.

Job Responsibilities:  Implement Nutanix solutions for customers in both onsite and remote models. Practice Development/R&D to prototype and vet new service offerings. Participate in a limited pre-sales involvement to provide services overlay to the existing sales motion primarily as an SME. Skills Required:  • Experience as a traveling consultant in the storage, virtualization, VDI, or cloud space. • Understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V) • Understanding of storage fabrics and technologies like SAN, NAS, file, block and object storage services, DFS. • Understanding data protection technologies like replication, snapshot, backup, restore, etc. • Ability to independently analyze and diagnose highly complex networking problems across different platforms. • Understanding of data center network fabric topologies and common architecture (both L2/L3 based), firewall, Ethernet, Radius, etc. • Ability to be technically hands-on in servicing the requirements of a client. • Customer relationship attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction. • Comfort performing whiteboarding sessions.
