The Warehouse Manager in Training (MIT) program at Florida Beauty Flora is a comprehensive 25-week training initiative designed to develop future leaders in the logistics industry. During the program, participants will assume a leadership role in the warehouse, particularly focusing on the loading process at the end of each day. They will learn to work as a leader, ensuring tasks are performed efficiently and correctly, avoid common issues, and maintain speed and quality.Quality control is a significant aspect of this role. Trainees will ensure warehouse associates use proper techniques for building pallets, such as avoiding damaged boxes and ensuring heavier boxes are at the bottom and lighter boxes on top. They will also oversee the handling of specialty flower boxes, including Proconas, Wet Packs, and Curly Willows, to ensure they are treated with extra care. Establishing and enforcing standards will be crucial. This includes maintaining consistent pallet heights, ensuring punctuality, proper break management, appropriate use of uniforms and safety gear, and promoting teamwork.The program also involves supervising the dock area, managing break schedules, and ensuring a clear and organized workspace. Trainees will be responsible for identifying and mentoring motivated employees, ensuring effective team contributions. Additionally, they will cross-train with various teams within the warehouse to gain comprehensive knowledge of all positions, preparing them for a future managerial role overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations.
Florida Beauty is conveniently located just south of the Miami International Airport and easily accessible by several major highways. Uniform and equipment loaned at no cost to the intern.

Participants should have an interest in a fast-paced leadership role and must be able to work in a refrigerated warehouse environment (down to 34°F). The role requires physical stamina to stand, walk, push, pull, and handle objects weighing 50 lbs or more for extended periods. No prior experience or education is necessary, and forklift certification will be provided during the training program.
