Virtual Skill Bridge Opportunity. We offer Careers, not just jobs to transitioning service members with backgrounds in Cybersecurity. *This is NOT an entry level program. You MUST meet the Eligibility factors. Supports the Project Patriot Pipeline. Participants receive structured online training, internship-style mentorship, and OJT supporting CMMC, cybersecurity compliance, and C3PAO assessment-support career pathways. We will guide the service member through the training required to utilize both a CMMC CCP certification and a CMMC CCA certification. The member will also apply for and obtain a Level 3 Security Clearance. Once certified, the member will be actively mentored and trained by participating in assessment activities during the Skill Bridge. Once trained the member will be eligible for full time employment as an approved and trained CMMC CCA.
Job description:
We are seeking to train transitioning service members to become Certified CMMC Assessor (CCA), approved under the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework, to perform official CMMC Level 2 assessments for clients within the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity compliance, a deep understanding of NIST SP 800-171 controls, and the ability to evaluate organizations against the CMMC standards with accuracy and integrity.
This is a fully remote, work-from-home career opportunity offering a competitive salary range of $140,000–$160,000 plus full benefits.Participants will complete structured, hands-on training designed to transition them into confident, assessment-ready Certified CMMC Assessors (CCAs). Upon completion, candidates will be fully prepared to independently conduct CMMC assessments, having developed real-world practical competency, professional judgment, and a deep understanding of the nuanced challenges encountered during official assessments.This role provides a strong foundation for long-term success in the cybersecurity compliance field and enables assessors to contribute immediately to credible, high-quality CMMC Level 2 assessments that directly support the Department of Defense industrial base and uphold the integrity of the CMMC ecosystem.

MUST HAVE: At least 90 days before the start of Skill Bridge. 10 plus years of Military Service. *May accept a 5 year+ service if experience is superior and Skill Bridge does not start for at least 6 months.3 years Cybersecurity experience/1 yr audit/assessment experience, 1 active baseline cert. BS Degree or: CGRC/CAP or CASP+ or Cloud+ or PenTest+ or Security+ or GSEC.This is a 150-180 day program. If your SB is less than that you may be considered with a combination Project Patriot Program, and Terminal Leave.
