Summary description:
The Commerce OFBNP aims to provide resources, information, and training opportunities – offered through our 12 bureaus – to the community- and faith-based organizations. This includes community-specific data, entrepreneurship training, business development opportunities, access to innovation centers, technical assistance, and community development grant opportunities, among other things. It is the Office’s mission to promote impactful partnerships between businesses and community and faith-based organizations focused on equity, job creation, and economic growth. The Commerce OFBNP Program Intern will be responsible for assisting the Deputy Director and Program Manager in multiple areas that are relevant to the needs of the Office. Typically, Interns will help in areas including programing, network coordination, and communications. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, excited to create new processes where none exist, interested in the opportunity to work on a variety of policy issues that directly affect our most vulnerable communities, and able to operate with a degree of responsibility and autonomy.
Job description:
In this position, you will provide routine, procedural or standard assignments that support management or program analytical work. Responsibilities include compile data/information and assist in developing appropriate materials for dissemination of program outputs and outcomes.Support Office Staff in the completion of daily tasks, keeping track of priorities and ongoing initiatives with partner organizations and interreligious partners.Maintaining program files, regulations, publications, and related documents.Using databases and other software to sort, track, edit, and retrieve data.Attending OFBNP relevant meetings and programming events to take concise meeting notes to then summarize and offer as support to OFBNP staff.

Display skills in research, data entry, intercultural communication, and the ability to analyze information with an acute attention to detail. Superb project and performance management.Bonus Qualifications: Skills in Graphics/Digital media Development. Spanish fluency and experience with Faith based/community organizing.
