The Skillbridge participant will be assigned to the Test & Evaluation Division. This is a training opportunity designed to support the Skillbridge participant in developing expertise in rapid prototyping and system integration. This role combines elements of electronics and communication systems, rapid prototyping, and developmental testing. The participant will gain experience in systems engineering, system integration, test design, and test execution. The training will be completed over a period of ten to twenty weeks. The schedule is not fixed but will vary based on range availability, peer organization schedules, and material availability.
The Skillbridge participant will engage in a developmental role, completing assignments, undergoing training, and performing duties that progressively build professional expertise in the rapid prototyping of electronic systems and their integration into field deployable systems. The participant will learn and apply the principles of systems engineering, systems integration, and safe test range operations to quickly move from concept to a functional prototype. This role involves hands-on work with electronic components, test equipment, and design software to build and validate systems.
