Job description:
The Engine Technician Trainee performs supervised preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and component service on Caterpillar engines. Training includes exposure to fuel, air, cooling, lubrication, and electrical systems, along with safe shop practices and technical documentation procedures.Participants train approximately 40 hours per week alongside experienced senior technicians. Training emphasizes safety, technical competency development, professional conduct, and readiness for civilian employment.Successful completion may lead to consideration for full-time employment following military separation, based on performance and business needs.
Training is full-time (~40 hours per week) and structured in progressive phases including safety orientation, engine systems overview, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, applied service, and career readiness.
