A The Distribution Management Division manages and coordinates FEMA' s supply program to assist in domestic incident management in accordance with the National Response Framework (NRF) by all modes of transportation; oversees the supply chain management of a large vehiclefleet program that supports assigned logistical programs by ensuring policy development, assets management and delivery of fleet services; and manages through Distribution Centers locatedthroughout the Continental United States (CONUS) and outside the Continental United States (OCONUS). In support of this operation, the inventory management specialist maintains all material stored in the distribution center ensuring response readiness.

Description: Inventory Management Specialist 2010This course provides an overview of Sunflower Asset Management System (SAMS). The data base is used to record, manage, and track all FEMA assets from acquisition to retirement disposition. The maintenance module is used to plan, schedule, and perform corrections on equipment ensuring the highest rate of readiness for disaster response.Terminal Learning Objectives: Record assets, input asset attributes, upload purchasing data and evidential matter, manage property transfer records for both outbound and inbound, manage asset disposition, process report of survey for lost, missing, damaged assets.
Description:This unit provides the necessary knowledge for new LSCMS users. Basic functions described in this unit include how to navigate the system, complete searches, and view detailed information pertaining to necessary job functions. The class will train users on how to track commodities and assets, receive inventory, manage inventory (user interface and RF), fulfill orders, shipping documentation and dispatch.Terminal Learning Objectives: Proficiently navigate LSCMS program screens both in UI and RF. Process and verify all inbound and outbound shipments, add to inventory, remove from inventory, perform inventory adjustments.
