Our internship program is divided up into three internship sections. Each section has a minimum experience requirement to be completed. Also, each section (I, II, and III) has specific expectations to be met. TWCTC internship program is twenty to thirty hours a week intensive experience of training in counseling, including individual, couple, family, and group therapy experiences, and ten to twenty hours related to coursework required by the intern's university, including classes, research, consultation, report writing, dissemination of research findings, presentations, and various assignments. This totals a minimum of 40 hours a week. The internship program is ideal for individuals wishing to work in private practice, community mental health or faith-based related agencies.

Completion of hours required for internship for licensureo A minimum of 800 and a maximum of 900 total hourso Minimum of 40% of total hours in direct client contact (as required by Idaho law)o Minimum of 1/20 ratio supervision to total hours (as required by Idaho law)Other requirements to be met for each Internship sectiono Sign up for two weekly office hour shifts, three-hour segmentso Facilitate one group experience (support and/or psychoeducational) consistently over the course of the termo Facilitate at least one TWCTC Weekend Workshopo Build individual case load to 8-10 weekly billable client hourso Participate in a minimum of one community marketing opportunity offered by TWCTCo Scheduled one hour weekly triadic supervision with onsite supervisoro Participation in scheduled weekly internship staffing▪Includes one video case presentation, one intervention presentation, and one scholarly journal disseminationo Participation in scheduled monthly TWCTC staff meetingo Complete required paperwork for Idaho licensureo Coursework required by the intern's university, including classes, research, consultation, report writing, dissemination of research findings, presentations, and various assignments.
TWCTC's administrative office is located in Meridian, Idaho. TWCTC offers three Treasure Valley locations to serve our community - Meridian, Eagle, and Nampa.

Enrollment in Masters of Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy program and completion of Pre-Practicum course at University.
