Here is an example of a training plan for a typical product team apprentice at Rise8: Weeks 1-4: (New Product) Participate in a Discovery & Framing to discover problems in the space and frame out lean, valuable solutions the team can deploy quickly and safely. (Existing Product) Onboard with your team, onboard to IT systems, and review artifacts and documentation for your product. Learn: Lean Startup Methodologies, Discovery & Framing Framework, Riskiest Assumption Tests, Tools, Balanced Teaming, Role Fundamentals. Weeks 5-16: Build and deploy a minimum viable product / complete gaps-based professional development work assigned by practice lead. Learn: Extreme Programming (processes and ceremonies), CI/CD; Grow: Role Knowledge & Skills, Tool Skills Weeks 16-26: Achieve continuous delivery to production and use it gather product feedback, learn, and implement/improve solutions. Learn: DevSecOps (you build it, you secure and run it), Sense & Respond, Release Engineering; Grow: Everything you have learned! Each week you will be meeting with your practice lead for three to five hours to discuss how your training is going and how your training plan can be refined to ensure optimal growth. That may also include assigned individual education, training, or work--provided by Rise8--to fill knowledge or skills gaps.
