Casa de Luz has helped countless families in the Las Vegas neighborhoods: Naked City and Sherwood Forest. We are a faithbased community resource center embedded in the areas we serve. These neighborhoods are known for hardship, struggle, and even darkness. We bring light, love, and hope by providing the resources they need to transform their lives physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Casa does this through programs for youth and families while providing wrap-around services and resources. We hope to create happier, healthier, and more productive neighborhoods and break the cycles of crime, poverty, and abuse through these programs. Interns will have the opportunity to do social work on both a macro and micro level through working at Casa de Luz's food pantry, community outreach and events, learning centers, and mentoring at-risk youth.
