Job description:
The Woodshop Technician/Instructor is responsible for providing hands-on instruction and technical support in our woodshop. This role encompasses teaching woodworking techniques, ensuring student safety, and maintaining a well-equipped and organized shop. Completion of Woods 101 and 102 training is mandatory prior to equipment use and instructing.Responsibilities:• Complete Woods 101 and Woods 102 training.• Instruct students in hand tool, power tool, and woodworking process techniques.• Evaluate student work and provide feedback.• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.• Maintain and organize the woodshop, including tools, equipment, and materials.• Assist students with project guidance and support.• Communicate effectively with students and staff.• Continuously learn and share woodworking knowledge.• Organize and maintain woodshop resources.
