Summary description:
Our company is seeking to hire a Deal Team Intern.We are seeking a Deal Team Associate to join our private credit fund. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial analysis, modeling, and underwriting of private credit investments. As a member of our deal team, you will be responsible for analyzing investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and making recommendations to the investment committee. The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job description:
Responsibilities:• Analyze investment opportunities and conduct due diligence on potential investments, including financial modeling, market research, and company analysis.• Prepare investment memos and present recommendations to the investment committee.• Monitor the performance of portfolio companies and make recommendations for adjustments as necessary.• Collaborate with the investment team to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities.• Assist with the negotiation of terms and documentation related to investments.• Participate in meetings with portfolio company management and other stakeholders.• Conduct research on industry trends and market developments to inform investment decisions.• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting private credit Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field. MBA or CFA designation is preferred. (direct experience in lieu of degree is acceptable)• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, modeling, and underwriting of private credit investments.• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, portfolio company management, and other stakeholders.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.• Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to private credit investments.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial modeling software.Company Background: Headquartered in Huntington Beach, Leonid Capital Management (LCM) is an asset manager focused on investing across the US National Security and Space ecosystems.
