Trained to lead a team in the performance of aircraft maintenance, inspections, and scheduled / unscheduled maintenance at VMM-774.
Job description:
The intern will be trained as an Aircraft Mechanic II (MV-22 Flight Line). This internship will provide training on how to perform Organizational and Depot level maintenance on the MV-22 aircraft. The intern will learn aircraft maintenance publications and documentation to include: NALCOMIS / OOMA system, aircraft logbooks, maintenance control procedures and Technical Directives. The intern will learn how to diagnose, disassemble, inspect, evaluate, and accomplish necessary repairs in accordance with technical instruction and technical directives. The intern will be trained to maintain and repair aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components. The intern will learn the technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to determine equipment malfunctions and apply the knowledge learned to restore equipment to operation. The intern will use aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers. Performs other required duties as applicable and assigned by supervision.
